*BROIL - Bake as above, then broil a minute or two until crispy and browned.

Signature & Smith Island Crab Cake suggestions from Cap'n Chucky's FOR A CRISP OUTER SHELL - gently pat crab cakes in plain or Italian bread crumbs or flour, then slowly pan fry in 1/2" shortening, butter substitute or olive oil. Be careful not to cook too high as outer shell can burn. BAKED STUFFED FLOUNDER, SALMON, OR FAVORITE FISH, simply place one crab cake on top of fish filet, then fold fish over crab cake, sprinkle with your favorite spices, a little melted butter and bake at 350 until fish is done. BAKED STUFFED SHRIMP - take two shrimp, peel shell to last knuckle, leaving tail on. Slice shrimp down back (butterfly) almost through. Open and spread shrimp on baking pan, place 1/2 crab cake on each shrimp and bake at 350 degrees about 10 to 12 minutes. |
